Hi,
I've just started up a zine called PAPERBRAINS with two other artistic souls. We're in our recruitment stages and want artists and illustrators to submit their work for our shiny first issue (aimed to be printed December/early 2010). PAPERBRAINS features a sexy mishmash of illustration, photography and writing with a monthly theme. Typically contributors will be emailed a creative brief as/when they feel like contributing (and if we REALLY like you we might ask you to design our front cover for that month). Since this is a new and exciting project our first theme is 'beta', therefore anything goes - we just want a collection of odds and ends to dazzle our readership before we focus on set themes.
PAPERBRAINS can't pay its contributors (yet) but it's an opportunity to see your work adorn our lovely pages and have your stuff introduced to a wider audience. We're not looking for anything in particular so whether your draw naked girls, dead animals or rocking chairs we'd love to have you on board. We're also interested in posting a biography of your stuff, so if you ever have an art show to promote we'd like to help be a cog in your publicity machine.
Please email submissions or typical works to paperbrains@gmail.com - at this stage we're really very desperate and the talent this community has to show has us enthralled, even if you don't have anything you feel you'd want to see in print right now please let us know if we can consider you for the future!

Sorry to say this but I won't be posting in here anymore (for the vast time being) unfortunately art school is very time consuming, as is living in a busy little city that has me constantly moving. I've set up a tumblr account as a makeshift website for the time being, which I hope to update whenever I'm able. So add my tumblr and watch for new updates please! I don't want to miss anyone here, and really do appreciate all the love Lj has given me over the years.
